Bethan Francis and Lianne Sims assume key roles in International Fundraising and Engagement company, as Stratcom takes next steps in UK expansion and strengthening Canadian company.
Stratcom, an international fundraising and engagement company with UK offices in London and Brighton, is pleased to announce that Bethan Francis has been appointed to the role of Managing Director of Stratcom UK, effective immediately.
After leading the successful growth of the UK operation, Bethan will now take on the added responsibilities of Managing Director. “We are thrilled to have such an experienced and talented person at the helm of our business in the UK,” said Bob Penner, CEO of Stratcom. “Bethan’s knowledge of fundraising and her reputation in the sector has been key to the successful establishment of our UK business. We are very pleased she has agreed to help take us to the next level, and strengthen our fundraising work in Canada and internationally as well.”
Bethan has 15 years’ experience in the fundraising world in the UK, formerly as the Client Service Director of Pell & Bales, working with such clients as Cancer Research UK, Christian Aid, The RSPCA, The NSPCC and The National Trust. Bethan has been a leading voice in supporter experience, relationship management and individual giving, particular in the field of telephone fundraising. In the new role, Bethan will be responsible for client service strategy, business development, and will be the public face of Stratcom in the UK as well as one of the spokespeople for Stratcom internationally. She will manage Stratcom UK while being a member of the Senior Management Team of the international company.
We are also very pleased to formally announce Lianne Sims as our International Director of Fundraising Operations. Lianne joined Stratcom in 2016 and has since split her time between setting up the UK Operation and revising and improving operational processes and performance in Stratcom’s three Canadian call centres. “Her work with our Canadian call centres has produced impressive results for Stratcom’s fundraising clients,” said Penner.
Lianne will continue to work across the two countries and is part of the senior management of both. She is highly regarded as an expert in best practices of managing call centre operations for fundraising. “No one is better at the intricacies of call center management, strategy and performance than Lianne,” said Penner. “She will be responsible for making sure clients are always represented well by our staff, that we get top results, and all our operations are fully compliant and of the highest standards.”
Lianne has over 20 years of operational experience and was previously the Operations Director for Pell & Bales at its peak of £12m in revenue. She was responsible for the delivery of over 700 campaigns per year across four call centres and 600 telephone fundraisers. During her time at Pell & Bales, Lianne significantly increased results, productivity and supporter satisfaction.
