Stephanie Lynn, Vice President, Research and Engagement, joined Stratcom in July 2016 as team lead in the Vancouver office. Promoted to Vice President in January 2020, she brings her commitment to excellence in innovation to all Stratcom’s projects in British Columbia and Alberta.
Stephanie comes with three decades of experience in politics including twenty years as a democracy development practitioner working with heads of state, legislatures, political parties and community activists in over twenty countries in Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. She is renowned for her achievements in skills training, leveraging research on public and political leaders’ opinions and policy advocacy to advance the representativeness of political institutions, in particular to advance women. She continues this work today, particularly in Myanmar/Burma.
At Stratcom, Stephanie is a member of the company’s leadership team and designs and delivers projects across the scope of Stratcom’s portfolio. Stephanie manages dozens of our quantitative and qualitative research projects for union, government and non-profit clients, moderates online and in-person focus groups, provides message and media training for political party leaders, union presidents and professional association executives, and guides numerous engagement activities including Telephone Town Halls, election and advocacy campaigns and digital outreach.
Prior to her work abroad, Stephanie served for seven years as a Provincial Organizer for the BC NDP and later, as an Order-in-Council Appointee to the Minister of Health and then Finance. She holds a BA (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of British Columbia and a Certificate in Systems Thinking from Cornell.
