Trevor McKenzie-Smith joined Stratcom as a Senior Associate in mid-2013. Since then he has worked with dozens of Stratcom clients on various projects to deliver products and services for campaign development, strategy & tactical advice, micro-targeting development & execution, campaign management, communications & rapid response, fundraising programs, telephone town hall production, big list builds, data management & analysis, GIS & other mapping projects, and more. In May 2017 Trevor joined the Management Team at Stratcom as the Director of Engagement & Targeting. He also brings more than 17 years of experience as a campaigner, manager, and campaign strategist. He has worked in more than 30 campaigns across Canada at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.
Trevor specializes in using the newest up-to-date methods to communicate messages to targeted audiences and he helps clients analyze the results of that work to help them continuously improve. He helps with the big-picture while getting the smallest of details in place to build the best outreach and engagement programmes that modern tools can deliver.
Trevor has a bachelor’s degree in Political Studies from the University of Saskatchewan and a master’s degree in Electoral Geography from the University of Toronto, specializing in demographics and spatial analysis, geographic information systems (GIS), and various forms of data analysis. He is also a Broadbent Institute Leadership Fellow.
